Internship program 2022

Joidea Group’s Internship Programs have been collaborating with associations in UNSW, USYD, UTS and other local colleagues in the last few years, which are designed on a project-based framework to allow interns/students to participate in a range of IT projects, expose to practical skills and techniques, to kickstart their careers with an approved mentor program provided by a team of experienced supervisors.

Projects you may participate in

• a Restaurant QR Ordering system that provides SaaS solutions to restaurants, cafes and bars in Australia;
• a Class & Student Management System which supports local educational providers to create classes and packages, enrol students, and manage class activities;
• an E-Commerce platform and Inventory system which was developed for a meat wholesaler in Australia；
• a Social Media Platform that builds a knowledge-driven platform for local instructors from IT, Design, Media, Arts and some other industries to connect with thousands of university students for project training

Internship structure

Stage 1: Pre-project training:

• Learning to use relevant or selected essential design technologies through our designed materials and practice:
• Office specifications and foundation
• Figma in Graphic design
• User Interface (UI) design foundation
• Graphic design foundation
• Design system foundation
• Complete graphic design assessment

Stage 2: Practices in selected projects:

• Professional design system
• Graphic design practising in selected project(s)
• Workflow practising in selected project(s)
• Collaborating with other interns and team members across departments
• Fortnightly review meetings and get feedback from the supervisors
• Delivery presentations to the team and project managers on a regular basis

Stage 3: Practices in alone tasks

• Design printing graphics by yourself (eg. Poster and Banner)
• Design digital graphics by yourself (eg. Email Template and Infographic)
• Design systems by yourself
• Being assigned a particular project to complete along with the other team members:
  Logo design
  Icon design
  Branding design
  Illustration
  UI Pages

What are we looking for?

• Currently studying graphic design/design related degree
• Knowledge of UI, Graphic design practices
• Design experiences with any design software (Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe AI, Adobe PS etc…)
• Great communication skills and attention to detail
• Result oriented, highly organised and positive attitude
• Ability to work on your own initiative to solve problems
• Bonus points for experience in Graphic design or Figma.
