Internship program 2022

Joidea Group’s Internship Programs have been collaborating with associations in UNSW, USYD, UTS and other local colleagues in the last few years, which are designed on a project-based framework to allow interns/students to participate in a range of IT projects, expose to practical skills and techniques, to kickstart their careers with an approved mentor program provided by a team of experienced supervisors.

Projects you may participate in

• a Restaurant QR Ordering system that provides SaaS solutions to restaurants, cafes and bars in Australia;
• a Class & Student Management System which supports local educational providers to create classes and packages, enrol students, and manage class activities;
• an E-Commerce platform and Inventory system which was developed for a meat wholesaler in Australia；
• a Social Media Platform that builds a knowledge-driven platform for local instructors from IT, Design, Media, Arts and some other industries to connect with thousands of university students for project training

Internship structure

Stage 1: Pre-project training:

• Front end web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JS)
• Install development tools
• Setup development environments
• Reading documentation
• React foundation or other front-end technologies that Supervisor may recommend
• Develop some starter projects

Stage 2: Practices in selected projects:

• Advanced React practising in selected project(s)
• Advanced styling practising in selected project(s)
• Writing documentations
• Coding business logic
• Get involved in project development
• Collaborating with other interns and team members across departments
• Delivery presentations to the team and project managers on regular basis”

Stage 3: Practices in alone tasks

• Building front end components by yourself
• Building single or multiple page applications by yourself
• Develop responsive web page
• Get involved in project development:
  Menu ordering system
  Booking system
  Job management system
  Tourist mobile app

What are we looking for?

• Currently studying IT degree, in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Knowledge of JavaScript and Web technologies (HTML, CSS) and development practices, exposure to other languages a plus
• Development experiences with React or React Native
• We welcome students at all levels if you are willing to learn however only a shortlist of candidates will be offered the position
