Internship program 2022

Joidea Group’s Internship Programs have been collaborating with associations in UNSW, USYD, UTS and other local colleagues in the last few years, which are designed on a project-based framework to allow interns/students to participate in a range of IT projects, expose to practical skills and techniques, to kickstart their careers with an approved mentor program provided by a team of experienced supervisors.

Projects you may participate in

• a Restaurant QR Ordering system that provides SaaS solutions to restaurants, cafes and bars in Australia;
• a Class & Student Management System which supports local educational providers to create classes and packages, enrol students, and manage class activities;
• an E-Commerce platform and Inventory system which was developed for a meat wholesaler in Australia；
• a Social Media Platform that builds a knowledge-driven platform for local instructors from IT, Design, Media, Arts and some other industries to connect with thousands of university students for project training

Internship structure

Stage 1: Pre-project training:

• Office specifications and foundation
• Complete Figma
• User Experience (UX) design foundation in website
• User Interface (UI) design foundation in website
• Design specification foundation in website
• WordPress Foundation
• Coding foundation (HTML, CSS)
• Website design practice

Stage 2: Practices in selected projects:

• Professional website design specification
• Website design practising in assigned project(s)
• Advanced WordPress practising in assigned project(s)
• More coding for website (HTML, CSS)
• Content development practising
• Workflow practising
• Collaborating with other interns and team members across departments
• Fortnightly review meeting with supervisors
• Delivery presentations to the team and project managers on a regular basis

Stage 3: Practices in alone tasks

• Design the Landing page by yourself
• Design single or multiple page websites by yourself
• Get involved in project designing:
  E-commerce websites
  Booking websites
  Blogs
  Other functional websites

What are we looking for?

• Currently studying website/design related degree
• Knowledge of UI, UX, Website, Graphic design practices
• Design experiences with any design software (Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe AI, Adobe PS etc…)
• Website experiences with any website builder (WordPress, Wix etc..)
• We welcome students at all levels if you are willing to learn however only a shortlist of candidates will be offered the position
